Privacy Policy

No personal information. IntervalFree does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or share any identifying information to use the app.

All data you create within the app — including workout profiles, timer configurations, and preferences — is stored exclusively on your device using iOS local storage (UserDefaults). This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.

We do collect anonymous, aggregated usage signals through a privacy-first analytics service (see Section 03) to understand which features are popular. These signals cannot be linked back to you as an individual.

IntervalFree also integrates with Giphy to display animated GIF content for entertainment purposes. When GIFs are loaded, Giphy may receive technical information such as your device's IP address, device type, and operating system version in order to deliver the content. This data is collected and processed by Giphy (operated by Shutterstock, Inc.) in accordance with their own privacy policy. We do not control or have access to any data Giphy collects through this integration. All GIF content is filtered to Giphy's "G" rating to ensure age-appropriate material for users of all ages, including children aged 4 and older.

IntervalFree uses Apple's built-in UserDefaults system to save your workout profiles and app preferences locally on your device. This data is:

• Stored only on your device
• Included in your iCloud backup if you have iCloud Backup enabled (managed by Apple, not by us)
• Deleted when you uninstall the app
• Never transmitted to any external server

We do not operate any servers or databases. There is no cloud sync, no remote storage, and no server-side processing of any kind.

IntervalFree uses a privacy-first analytics service to collect anonymous usage signals. This data is processed by a service that strips IP addresses before storage and cannot identify individual users. This helps us understand which features are popular and how to improve the app.

What is collected:

• Aggregated, anonymous usage patterns (e.g., which timer settings are commonly used)
• Basic device metadata (iOS version, device model) — never linked to your identity
• App events (e.g., "workout started", "profile created") — with no personal context

What is NOT collected:

• Your name, email, or any contact information
• Your IP address (stripped before storage)
• Advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking data
• Any data that could identify you as an individual

Our analytics provider is GDPR and CCPA compliant and does not require a cookie consent banner.

IntervalFree integrates with the following third-party services:

• Privacy-first analytics service — anonymous usage signals only (see Section 03 above)
• Giphy (operated by Shutterstock, Inc.) — provides animated GIF content for in-app entertainment. When GIFs are loaded, Giphy's servers may collect your device's IP address and basic device metadata to deliver content. Giphy's content is filtered to their "G" rating to ensure age-appropriateness. Beyond anonymous analytics signals and Giphy content delivery, the app does not make any other network requests during normal use. There are no ad networks, no social media SDKs, and no other data-collecting services.

If you choose to visit our website or Ko-fi page through links in the app or on our landing page, those sites have their own privacy policies.

IntervalFree contains no advertisements of any kind. We do not use ad networks, display banner ads, show interstitial ads, or serve any promotional content within the app. This is a core principle of IntervalFree and will not change.

IntervalFree does not collect any personal information from any user, including children under 13. The anonymous analytics signals contain no personal identifiers and cannot be linked to any individual, regardless of age.

GIF content provided through Giphy is filtered to Giphy's "G" rating to ensure all displayed content is appropriate for users of all ages, including children aged 4 and older. Giphy may collect limited technical data (such as IP addresses) when delivering GIF content; however, we have no control over or access to this data. If we ever change our privacy practices, we will update this page with a new "Last updated" date. Given that our core commitment is to collect no personal data, we do not anticipate significant changes. However, we encourage you to review this page periodically.
